AILA Chapters serve many functions, from grassroots advocacy to member support to information sharing. Each Chapter conducts its own local meetings and elects its local chair and other offices as necessary. AILA Chapters serve as focal points for delivering messages to and from the National Office to members and local groups and organizations. Many chapters also maintain close working relationships with DHS District Directors and staff, and play a role in resolving local issues.
