Pitching a Story

The most important aspect of day-to-day media relations work is building relationships with reporters, editors, and producers.

Named for its position in a newspaper - opposite the editorial page- the Op-Ed is a great opportunity for you to take a stand on a current immigration issue.

Letters to the Editor

Letters to the editor are an extremely effective tool for raising public awareness on an issue, especially to get legislators' attention.

Local Talk and News Radio

Too often, and especially during heated on-air debates, radio and television personalities mischaracterize immigrants and present misinterpretations of the policies that regulate immigration. Sadly, these one-sided messages currently dominate the airwaves. We need knowledgeable speakers to counter the rhetoric and thinly veiled intolerance of the shock jocks on the radio and TV.
