Global Migration and Legal Ethics

Ethical challenges for U.S. attorneys abound in the practice of global migration. All global migration practitioners must be mindful of the UPL and FCPA issues they will face.

AILA members have developed resources on confidentiality considerations when working with foreign counsel, UPL and Foreign Corrupt Practice Act issues (article and podcast), and ethical considerations when working with counsel in non-US jurisdictions.

Sections

  • Federal Court Litigation Section
    The Federal Court Litigation Section is a community of AILA members who are interested in furthering the practice of immigration litigation. The Section provides a forum and a means to share information and to receive mentorship and education on litigation-related issues.
  • Global Migration Section
    The Global Migration Section is a community of AILA members and international associates who are interested in furthering the practice of global migration.
