CBP Inspector’s Field Manual

2/10/06 AILA Doc. No. 11120959. Admissions & Border

On December 9, 2011, CBP posted a February 10, 2006, version of the Inspector’s Field Manual (IFM), which is a comprehensive “how to” manual that details official CBP policies and procedures in an effort to carry out the mission of CBP. CBP states that the IFM should be used in conjunction with the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), Title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations (8 CFR), and other official CBP directives. Additionally, CBP acknowledges that the IFM is intended to be “user friendly.” AILA obtained the referenced version of the IFM through the CBP FOIA Library.
