AILA Programs
AILA’s Provider Status: | Pre-Approved Provider - All programs are presumptively approved. |
Approved Programs: | In-Person Conferences Live Webcasts of In-Person Conferences Live Audio and Web Seminars OnDemand Programs |
Credit Restrictions: | Alabama attorneys can earn up to 6 credits through "online" programs, including on-demand web programs, MP3s, and MP4s Live seminars, live webcasts qualify as "live" credit. There is no limit to live credit hour amounts. OnDemand recordings are eligible for CLE credit until December 31st of the recording date year. |
Attorney Reporting Requirements: | AILA reports attendance to the Alabama State Bar. |
Attendee Compliance for CLE: | Each attendee must submit and affirm the sessions they attended using webCLE. A four-digit attendance verification code is given during each session and must also be submitted. Attorneys must complete their webCLE submission within one week of the event to receive a certificate of attendance and to have their attendance reported. |
MCLE Requirements
General Credit Requirements: | 12 total credit hours per reporting period |
Specialized Credit Requirements: | 1 hour of ethics or professionalism per reporting period |
Compliance Period Length: | 1 year |
Compliance Deadline: | December 31 |
Reporting Deadline: | February 15 |
Credit Calculation: | 60 minutes per credit hour (AILA’s CLE Calculator) |
Attorney Reporting Requirements: | Attorneys receive a Preliminary Compliance Report from the Alabama State Bar listing all courses for which credit has been reported as of September 30. Attorneys receive a Final Compliance Report in January. Attorneys can also check transcripts online. |
