AILA Programs

 

AILA's Provider Status: The State Bar of Arizona does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement.
Approved Programs: In-Person Conferences
Live Webcasts of In-Person Conferences
Live Audio and Web Seminars
OnDemand Programs
Credit Available: View your state's conference information page for the amount and type of credit available for in-person conferences and live webcasts of in-person conferences. Audio/web seminars are all 90 minutes in length and are eligible for 1.5 general credits, unless otherwise noted. OnDemand programs receive the same amount of credit as the live version of the program.
Credit Restrictions: OnDemand credit is only available for in-person conference programs from January 1, 2011 and for seminar programs from June 1, 2009.
AILA's Reporting Requirements: AILA does not report attendance.
Attendee Compliance for CLE: Each attendee must submit and affirm the sessions they attended using webCLE. A four-digit attendance verification code is given during each session and must also be submitted. Attorneys must complete their webCLE submission within one week of the event to receive a certificate of attendance and to have their attendance reported.

 

 

 

MCLE Requirements

 

 

 

General Credit Requirements 15 total credit hours per compliance period.
Specialized Credit Requirements: 3 professional responsibility credits per compliance period (ethics, professionalism, malpractice prevention, substance abuse, attorneys fees, client development, law office economics and practice, alternative dispute resolution, stress management)
Compliance Period Length: 1 year
Compliance Deadline: June 30
Reporting Deadline: September 15
Credit Calculation: 60 minutes per credit hour, rounding down to the nearest quarter hour

Attorney Reporting Requirements: Attorneys are required to submit an affidavit of compliance to the Arizona bar by September 15 of each year.
Approval Rule: The State Bar of Arizona does not approve or accredit programs for the MCLE or BLS requirement. The MCLE Rule (Rule 45, Ariz.R.S.Ct.) and its accompanying regulations are predicated on the assumption that attorneys can evaluate CLE activities based on the guidelines set forth and report their activities by affidavit.
