AILA Submits Comments on USCIS Case Status Online and MyUSCIS tools

AILA submitted a comment on 11/13/18 in response to USCIS’s 60-day notice and comment period on the extension, without change, of a currently approved collection, USCIS Case Status Online, published in the Federal Register on 9/13/18. Among other things, AILA highlighted that case status information is often unavailable through the USCIS Case Status Online tool, and recommended that case status information be more informative, history of actions taken on a case should be provided, and processing times should be linked to the USCIS Case Status Online tool. AILA also noted that there is a discrepancy between information provided to applicants, petitioners, and representatives on the MyUSCIS portal.
