Proposed Rule on Provisional Waivers Added to Unified Agenda
Notice that a proposed rule on provisional unlawful presence waivers of inadmissibility has been added to the Unified Agenda, stating that DHS proposes to expand access to the provisional unlawful presence waiver program to additional noncitizens for whom an immigrant visa is immediately available and can show extreme hardship to a qualifying U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse or parent.
Note: Although addition of an item to the Unified Agenda does not necessarily mean that rulemaking will be forthcoming, and is not instructive as to timing, it does indicate that the matter is on the Administrative radar screen.
