DOJ Prosecuted Record Number of Immigration-Related Offenses in FY2019
DOJ announced that that in FY2019, its U.S. Attorneys' Offices prosecuted the highest number of immigration-related offenses since record-keeping began more than 25 years ago—25,426 individuals with felony Illegal Reentry, 80,866 with misdemeanor Improper Entry, and 4,297 with Alien Smuggling.
