H.R. 5581: Access to Counsel Act of 2020
The Access to Counsel Act of 2020 (H.R. 5581) guarantees access to legal counsel for people who are arriving at ports of entry and are subject to secondary or deferred inspection by CBP. The House Judiciary Committee marked up and passed H.R. 5581 on 2/12/20. AILA endorses this bill.
