On 7/24/18, President Trump signed into law the Northern Mariana Islands U.S. Workforce Act of 2018.
On 6/28/18, the U.S. Senate passed H.R. 5956 without amendment by voice vote. The U.S. House of Representatives passed the bill by voice vote on 6/5/18.
On 5/24/18, Representative Rob Bishop (R-UT) introduced the Northern Mariana Islands U.S. Workforce Act of 2018 (H.R.5956) to extending the CW-1 program through 12/31/29, and increasing the CW-1 cap for FY2019 from 4,999 to 13,000.
