S.2344: Immigration Innovation (“I-Squared”) Act
On 1/25/18, Senators Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) introduced the Immigration Innovation ("I-Squared") Act of 2018 (S. 2344). Among other things, the bill proposes increasing the H-1B statutory cap, authorizing employment for spouses of H-1B visa holders, increasing H-1B worker mobility, recapturing green card numbers that were approved by Congress in previous years but not used, eliminating per country limits for employment-based green cards, and allowing dual intent for student visa holders.
