USCIS Warns that Surge in H-2Bs Possible for Second Half of FY2018

DOL announced it will not begin releasing H-2B temporary labor certifications until 2/20/18, due to an unprecedented number of applications. As a result, USCIS may receive more H-2B petitions than there are H-2B visas available in the second half of FY2018 and may need to do a lottery.
