AILA and Partners Urge DHS to Stop Detentions and Transfers as COVID-19 Cases Spread in ICE Custody
Immigration Justice Campaign local partner Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN) led a group of more than 50 organizations, including AILA, in writing to DHS to express concern over the increased detainee population due to transfers from the border. The letter urges DHS to suspend the practice of detaining and transferring immigrants as confirmed COVID-19 cases in ICE custody trend upward.
