CBP to Reopen Trusted Traveler Programs Enrollment Centers on September 8

CBP announced that it will reopen Trusted Traveler Programs Enrollment Centers on September 8, 2020. Beginning September 8, conditionally approved Global Entry applicants will be able to complete in-person interviews at most Trusted Traveler Programs enrollment centers in the United States.


July 20, 2020

CBP announced that Trusted Traveler Programs enrollment centers will remain closed until at least September 8, 2020. Applicants who scheduled interviews at enrollment centers on or before September 7, 2020, must reschedule their appointments. Applicants now has 545 days from the date that CBP conditionally approves their application to complete the enrollment process. In addition, CBP will extend for up to 18 months the program benefits of members who apply for renewal before their current membership expires.

CBP announced that it is postponing the reopening of Trusted Traveler Programs Enrollment Centers until at least August 10, 2020. Applicants who scheduled interviews at enrollment centers in July and early August must reschedule their appointments. Applicants now have 485 days from the date that CBP conditionally approves their applications to complete the enrollment process. In addition, CBP will extend for up to 18 months the Trusted Traveler Program benefits of members who apply for renewal before their current membership expires.

CBP announced that it plans to reopen Trusted Traveler Programs enrollment centers in early July. Beginning July 6, 2020, conditionally approved Global Entry, SENTRI, and U.S.-Mexico FAST applicants will be able to complete in-person interviews at most Trusted Traveler Programs enrollment centers in the United States. Applicants must schedule enrollment center interviews in advance by logging into their accounts on the Trusted Traveler Programs website. Interview availability will vary by location. NEXUS and U.S.-Canada FAST interviews at U.S. and Canadian enrollment centers will remain suspended until at least August 10.


May 26, 2020

CBP extended the temporary closure of Trusted Traveler Program enrollment centers until at least July 6, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The temporary closure applies to all public access Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, and FAST enrollment centers.

Conditionally-approved applicants who seek an enrollment center interview will need to reschedule after July 6. CBP has extended the period of time that Trusted Traveler Program applications remain active. All applicants now have 485 days from the date that CBP conditionally approves their application to complete the enrollment process. CBP’s Enrollment on Arrival program remains operational.

CBP announced that it will temporarily suspend operations at Trusted Traveler Program enrollment centers nationwide from March 19, 2020, until at least May 1, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
