CBP Issues Guidance on Promoting the Use of Discretionary Authority

CBP issued a memo reminding CBP officers of the 7/20/04 memo, Exercising of Discretion – Additional Guidance, which aims to “remind all officers that CBP’s policy is to use discretion where appropriate to admit or parole aliens into the United States where the law permits discretion….”
