DHS Extends TPS Designation for Sudan
DHS notice extending the designation of Sudan for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, beginning on 4/20/25 and ending on 10/19/26, due to ongoing armed conflict and extraordinary and temporary conditions in Sudan that prevent individuals from safely returning. Existing TPS beneficiaries who wish to extend their status through 10/19/26 must re-register during the 60-day reregistration period, which runs from 1/17/25 through 3/18/25. (90 FR 5944, 1/17/25)
