DHS Issues Fact Sheet that Encounters at Southwest Border Down by 55 Percent
DHS acknowledged that after seven weeks of suspended entry for certain noncitizens, encounters at the southwest border are down by 55%. The entry restrictions will remain in effect until 14 calendar days after there has been a seven-consecutive-calendar-day average of less than 1,500 encounters.
