DHS OIG Issues Report on the February 16, 2020, Childbirth at the Chula Vista Border Patrol Station

DHS OIG reviewed the circumstances of the childbirth at the Chula Vista Border Patrol Station and found that CBP actions complied with applicable policies, but that CBP data on pregnant detainees is limited and that CBP does not always act promptly in releasing U.S. citizen newborns.
