DOS Suspends Routine Visa Services at All U.S. Embassies and Consulates

DOS announced that it will resume routine visa services on a post-by-post basis, but is unable to provide a specific date for when each mission will resume specific visa services, or when each mission will return to processing at pre-COVID levels.

On Twitter, the Department of State noted that "some embassies and consulates may begin phased reopening on July 15":

DOS announced that in response to COVID-19, it is suspending routine visa services at all U.S. embassies and consulates. Embassies and consulates will cancel all routine visa appointments as of March 20, 2020. Check the website of the embassy or consulate for its current operating status.
