EOIR Memo on Continuances and Administrative Closure

A 3/7/13 memo (OPPM 13-01) from Brian M. O’Leary, Chief Immigration Judge, providing additional background and guidance on continuances and administrative closures. This memo replaces OPPM 94-6.

This memo, which was supplemented and amended by 17-01, Continuances, was rescinded in full by OPPM 19-01.

Guidance on continuances in OPPM 17-01 remains in effect, and any reference in any other memorandum to OPPM 13-01 regarding continuances should be treated as a reference to OPPM 17-01, as appropriate.
