Executive Order Imposing Sanctions on Certain Persons With Respect to the Humanitarian and Human Rights Crisis in Ethiopia

On 9/17/21, President Biden signed an executive order imposing sanctions on persons determined to be responsible for humanitarian and human rights violations in Ethiopia, including, among other things, suspending the immigrant and nonimmigrant entry into the United States of such persons.
