3/6/25
AILA Doc. No. 25030600.
On 3/1/25, President Trump issued Executive Order (EO) 14224, which designates English as the official language of the United States. The order revokes the 8/11/00 Executive Order 13166, “Improving Access to Services for Persons with Limited English Proficiency.” However, the order does not require or direct any change in the services provided by any agency, nor does it require agency heads to amend, remove, or otherwise stop production of documents, products, or other services prepared or offered in languages other than English.
