H.R. 748: Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES)

On March 27, 2020, President Trump signed into law the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) (H.R. 748), a $2 trillion dollar economic recovery package. The package will offer relief to state and local governments, individuals, small and large businesses, and hospitals affected by the Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This piece of legislation is the third aid package signed into law this month to address the growing pandemic.
