This is a continually updated list of press releases issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and media stories announcing enforcement activities and resulting apprehensions. While ICE considers many of these operations to be "targeted fugitive operations," the agency acknowledges that other foreign nationals are frequently encountered, and "when appropriate, they are arrested by ICE officers." 2021 Announcements

January 6, 2021

ICE ERO Houston announced that nine individuals were arrested between November 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020, in the greater Houston area as part of a recent enforcement action targeting individuals who had unlawfully reentered the U.S. after having previously been removed.

2020

December 21, 2020 - ICE Arrests More than 150 Individuals

ICE announced that ICE ERO officers arrested more than 150 individuals between Monday, December 7, 2020, and Tuesday, December 17, 2020, as part of a national enforcement effort called "Operation Broken Promise" that targets individuals who promised to voluntarily leave the country, but never did. Per ICE, of those arrested, 117 had failed to depart after being granted voluntary departure.


November 18, 2020 – ICE Arrests More than 180 Individuals

BuzzFeed News reports that more than 180 immigrants across the United States were arrested in recent weeks by ICE as part of Operation Broken Promise, which targets individuals who had been granted voluntary departure, but who did not leave.


October 28, 2020 – ICE Arrests More than 100 Individuals

ICE arrested more than 100 individuals during a five-day immigration enforcement action, from October 19 through 23, in Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, Michigan, and Texas. Per ICE, more than 70 percent of those arrested “had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges at the time of arrest.”


October 16, 2020 – DHS, ICE Announce Enforcement Action in Sanctuary Jurisdictions

DHS and ICE announced the arrests of more than 170 individuals from 10/3 to 10/9 as part of an immigration enforcement action in sanctuary jurisdictions, including Seattle, Denver, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. Per ICE, the enforcement actions focused on individuals subjected to removal who were arrested but released by state or local law enforcement agencies despite having active immigration detainers.


October 7, 2020 – DHS Announces ICE Enforcement Action in California

DHS and ICE announced the arrest of over 125 individuals from 9/18 to 10/3 as part of an immigration enforcement action in California. Per DHS, the action targeted individuals subject to removal who were arrested but released by state or local law enforcement despite having active immigration detainers.


September 28, 2020 – ICE Arrests 12 Individuals in North Carolina

ICE arrested 12 individuals as part of a “targeted enforcement operation” in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, from September 21 to 25. Six of those arrested had active ICE detainers.


September 25, 2020 - ICE Arrests 88 Individuals in Chicago

ICE arrested 88 at-large individuals from August 24 to September 19 as part of an immigration enforcement action in the Chicago metro-area. Per ICE, the individuals had previously been in local or state law enforcement custody, but released due to the “jurisdictions’ non-cooperation policies.”


September 1, 2020 - ICE Arrests More than 2,000 Individuals

ICE announced the results of recent enforcement actions targeting individuals who have been arrested for, or have pending charges or convictions, for crimes involving victims. From July 13, 2020, to August 14, 2020, ICE officers arrested more than 2,000 individuals. Per ICE, about 85 percent of those arrested by ICE on immigration charges had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.


February 12, 2020 – ICE Arrests 75 People in Michigan and Ohio

The Detroit Free Press reported that ICE arrested 75 people in Michigan and Ohio in a weeklong operation that lasted from February 1–7. Per ICE, 70 percent of those arrested had prior arrests and/or criminal convictions. According to the Detroit Free Press, Michigan has the second highest rate of ICE arrests among all states in the United States, followed by Ohio, which has the third highest.


2019

December 20, 2019 – ICE Arrests 17 Individuals in Philadelphia

ICE ERO Philadelphia arrested 17 individuals during a 5-day enforcement action that ended on December 13, 2019. The individuals arrested had prior criminal convictions or pending charges.


November 27, 2019 – ICE Arrests 23 Individuals in Central Virginia

ICE arrested 23 individuals in several cities throughout central Virginia over the course of a week from November 12–20. The arrests were made as part of Operation Eagle’s Shield, an enforcement operation targeting individuals deemed as threats to public safety throughout Virginia and Washington, DC.

November 27, 2019 – ICE Arrests 56 Individuals in Virginia and Washington, DC

ICE arrested 56 individuals in several cities throughout Virginia and in Washington, DC, over the course of a week from November 12–20. The arrests were made as part of Operation Eagle’s Shield, an enforcement operation targeting individuals deemed as threats to public safety throughout Virginia and Washington, DC.


November 6, 2019 – ICE Arrests 19 Individuals in Massachusetts

ICE arrested 19 individuals in several counties throughout Massachusetts during a four-day enforcement action targeting immigrants convicted or charged with drug-related trafficking crimes.


November 4, 2019 – ICE Arrests 23 Individuals in Long Island

ICE arrested 23 individuals during a six-day period ending November 2, 2019, on Long Island in an enforcement effort dubbed “Operation SOAR” (Sex Offender Alien Removal).


October 9, 2019 – ICE Arrests 31 Individuals in Las Vegas

ICE arrested 31 individuals during targeted enforcement actions late September in Las Vegas. The arrestees include nationals from Mexico, Russia, Iran, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. Twenty-six of those arrested had prior criminal records.


September 30, 2019 – ICE Arrests 97 Individuals in Six Midwestern States

ICE arrested 97 individuals across six states in the Midwest—28 in Illinois, 14 in Indiana, 22 in Kansas, 12 in Kentucky, 10 in Missouri, and 11 in Wisconsin—during a five-day enforcement action that ended on September 25, 2019. Three women and 94 men were arrested. Of those arrested, per ICE, half had criminal histories.


September 27, 2019 - ICE Arrests 57 Individuals in Washington, D.C., and Virginia

ICE arrested 57 individuals across Virginia and Washington, D.C., during a five-day targeted enforcement action that ended on September 25, 2019. Of the 57 individuals arrested, 41 had prior criminal records or pending criminal charges.

September 27, 2019 – ICE ERO Philadelphia Arrests 45 Individuals in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia

ICE ERO Philadelphia arrested 34 individuals in Pennsylvania, eight in Delaware, and three in West Virginia during a five-day enforcement surge that ran from September 21, 2019, to September 25, 2019. The action targeted individuals with prior detainers or with criminal histories.


September 26, 2019 - ICE Arrests 45 Individuals in South, Central Texas

ICE arrested 45 individuals in South, Central Texas during a five-day enforcement action that ended on September 26, 2019. Per ICE, more than 88 percent of individuals arrested had prior criminal records or pending charges.

September 26, 2019 - ICE Arrests 42 Individuals in Colorado and Wyoming

ICE arrested 42 individuals in Colorado and Wyoming during a five-day enforcement action that ended on September 25, 2019. Most of the individuals targeted during this action had criminal histories; nine had pending criminal charges.

September 26, 2019 – ICE Arrests 46 Individuals in Michigan and Ohio

ICE arrested 46 individuals throughout Michigan and Ohio during a five-day enforcement action that ended on September 25. The action targeted individuals with prior criminal histories.

September 26, 2019 – ICE ERO Boston Arrests 80 Individuals Across Six New England States

ICE ERO Boston arrested 80 individuals across New England during a five-day enforcement action that lasted from September 21, 2019, to September 25, 2019. Of those arrested, 60 had prior convictions or criminal charges pending.

September 26, 2019 – ICE Arrests 49 Individuals in North Texas and Oklahoma

ICE arrested 49 individuals in North Texas and Oklahoma during a five-day enforcement action that ended on September 25, 2019. The arrested include 46 men and three women; 38 had prior convictions or criminal charges pending.

September 26, 2019 - ICE Arrests 82 Individuals in New York City, the Hudson Valley, and Long Island

ICE arrested 82 individuals in New York City, the Hudson Valley, and Long Island during a 5-day enforcement effort that ended on September 25, 2019. ICE had previously placed detainers on 42 of the individuals arrested.

September 26, 2019 - ICE Arrests 54 Individuals in New Jersey

ICE arrested 54 individuals throughout New Jersey during an enforcement action that ran from September 21, 2019, to September 25, 2019. The action targeted individuals with prior immigration detainers.


September 4, 2019 - Multiple Individuals Detained During HSI Raid in Stillwater, Oklahoma

Oklahoma's News 4 reports that on September 4, 2019, HSI executed multiple federal search warrants at two restaurants and one residence in Stillwater, Oklahoma. At the restaurants, federal agents demanded proof of identification from the owners and employees, and detained anyone who couldn't prove they were legally allowed to work in the United States.


August 7, 2019 – ICE Detains Approximately 680 Individuals Across Mississippi

ICE detained approximately 680 individuals while executing federal search warrants at seven agricultural processing plants across Mississippi on August 7, 2019. The actions were part of an ongoing Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) worksite enforcement criminal investigation, and was conducted in coordination with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi.

July 23, 2019 – ICE Arrests 35 in Operation Border Resolve

The Washington Post reports that as a part of ICE’s Operation Border Resolve, ICE apprehended 18 family members and 17 undocumented immigrants they encountered in their searches, known as “collateral arrests.” Acting ICE Director Matthew T. Albence indicated that ICE will continue to pursue family members with deportation orders.


July 12, 2019 – ICE Arrests 6 Individuals in Jackson, Tennessee

The Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) reports that ICE arrested 6 individuals in Jackson, Tennessee with the assistance of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

July 12, 2019 - ICE Arrests 20 Individuals in San Diego

ICE arrested 20 individuals during a five-day enforcement surge focused on immigration fugitives with a final removal order and a criminal conviction(s) or a criminal charge. The week-long operation was conducted throughout San Diego county by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in San Diego.


June 25, 2019 - ICE Arrests 75 Individuals in North Texas and Oklahoma

ICE arrested 75 individuals during a four-day enforcement operation that ended on Thursday, June 20, 2019.


June 24, 2019 - ICE Arrests 52 Individuals in Texas

ICE arrested 52 individuals during a four-day enforcement surge in the following Texas cities: Rio Grande Valley (9), San Antonio (7), Laredo (20), and Austin/Waco (16). Of those arrested, 46 were men; six were women.


June 11, 2019 – ICE Arrests 140 Individuals in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Wisconsin

ICE arrested 140 individuals during a five-day enforcement surge in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Wisconsin. Five women and 135 men were arrested.


June 6, 2019 – ICE Arrest 32 Individuals in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island

ICE arrested 32 individuals during a five-day enforcement surge from May 19-23, 2019, in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.


May 24, 2019 – ICE Arrests 31 Individuals in New York

ICE arrested 31 individuals during a five-day enforcement surge from May 19-23, 2019, in New York City, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley.


May 17, 2019 - ICE Arrests 58 Individuals in Maryland, New Jersey and New Orleans

ICE arrested 12 individuals during a four-day surge enforcement action from May 12-16.

ICE arrested 13 individuals in New Jersey during a four-day surgery that targeted individuals who had been issued a final order of removal in the past five years, have failed to depart the United States, and have received criminal convictions or have pending criminal charges.

ICE arrested 33 individuals during a week-long targeted enforcement surge focused on persons ordered removed from the United States within the last five years who also have criminal convictions or pending charges.


April 3, 2019 - ICE Arrests 123 Individuals in New Jersey

ICE arrested 123 individuals during a month-long operation conducted by ICE in New Jersey that targeted foreign nationals with prior arrests or convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.


April 3, 2019 - ICE Arrests Nearly 300 Individuals in Texas

The Dallas News reports that about 280 workers were arrested in an ICE raid at CVE Technology Group in Allen, Texas. "Katrina W. Berger, special agent in charge for Homeland Security Investigations' Dallas office, said the number of people taken into custody Wednesday was the most at a single site in a decade. In 2008, 398 people were arrested at an Iowa slaughterhouse."


February 13, 2019 – ICE Arrests 26 in California Worksite Enforcement Operation

ICE reports that it arrested 26 during an ICE raid at a Zion Market in Clairemont Mesa, California. For more information, read the San Diego Union-Tribune article, 26 detained in immigration raid at San Diego market; ICE says employer is the target.


February 9, 2019 – ICE Arrests Nearly 200 Individuals in North Carolina Enforcement Action

The News & Observer reports that at least 30 people were detained by ICE during a raid of North Carolina manufacturing plant.

The Charlotte Observer reports that at least a dozen undocumented immigrants were arrested at over 10 traffic stops around Charlotte, North Carolina.

ABC11 reports that ICE announced that roughly 200 people were arrested in raids across North Carolina, noting that this number does not include the nearly 30 people arrested at a Sanford manufacturing company.


January 29, 2019 – ICE Arrests 118 in New York Enforcement Action

ICE reports that it arrested 118 during a five-day period, from January 14-18, 2019, in New York City, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley.


January 2, 2019 – ICE Arrests 3 in New York Enforcement Action

The Times Union reports that ICE arrested 3 individuals at a restaurant in Chatham, New York.

December 13, 2018 - ICE Arrests 63 in Midwest Enforcement Action

ICE arrested 63 individuals in a four-day enforcement surge in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.


December 7, 2018 - ICE Arrests 105 in New Jersey Enforcement Action

ICE arrested 105 individuals during a five-day period in New Jersey.


December 6, 2018 - ICE Arrests 58 in New England Enforcement Action

ICE arrested 58 individuals during a five-day period, ending December 4, in the New England region.


November 13, 2018 - ICE Arrests 22 Foreign Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska

The Lincoln Journal Star reports that ICE arrested 22 individuals at two popular Mexican restaurants in Lincoln, NE.


September 27, 2018 - ICE Arrests 105 Foreign Nationals in Michigan and Ohio

ICE arrested 105 individuals during a 10-day operation in Michigan and Ohio.

September 27, 2018 - ICE Arrests 40 Foreign Nationals in New England

ICE arrested 40 individuals during a three-day operation in New England.


September 26, 2018 - ICE Arrests 98 Foreign Nationals in North Texas and Oklahoma Areas

ICE arrested 98 individuals during a 10-day operation in north Texas and Oklahoma.

September 26, 2018 - ICE Arrests 150 Foreign Nationals in Los Angeles-Area

ICE arrested 150 individuals during an operation in the Los Angeles-area.


September 21, 2018 - ICE Arrests 83 Foreign Nationals in Wisconsin

ICE arrested 83 individuals during a four-day Wisconsin enforcement surge.


September 12, 2018 - ICE Arrests Dozens of Foreign Nationals in Alma, Arkansas

KFSM-TV reported that ICE arrested nearly 30 people during a worksite enforcement raid at Bryant Preserving Company in Alma, Arkansas.


August 29, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 364 Foreign Nationals in Six Midwestern States

ICE arrested 364 individuals during a thirty-day enforcement operation in the following midwestern states: Illinois (134), Indiana (52), Kansas (43), Kentucky (60), Missouri (42), and Wisconsin (33).


August 28, 2018 - ICE Apprehends Over 150 Foreign Nationals in Sumner, Texas

ICE arrested approximately 160 foreign nationals in a massive worksite raid conducted at Load Trail on Tuesday, August 28th in Sumner, Texas. ICE HSI set up a 24-hour detainee locator hotline – 888-351-4024 – that family members can use to find those arrested in the operation.

  • On August 28, the Dallas Morning News reported that Load Trail began as a family-owned business in 1996 and has grown to employ more than 500 people on its 100-acre site. In 2014, the company paid a $445,000 fine for hiring undocumented immigrants to work at the plant.

August 13, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 45 Foreign Nationals in Texas

ICE arrested 45 individuals in the Houston, Texas area during a five-day operation.


August 9, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 133 Foreign National Workers in Nebraska and Minnesota

The Associated Press reported that ICE arrested 133 workers during workplace raids in Nebraska and Minnesota.

According to a release from ICE, search warrants were served at the following businesses and locations:

Elkhorn River Farms in O’Neill, Nebraska;
O’Neill Ventures in O’Neill, Nebraska;
La Herradura Restaurant in O’Neill, Nebraska;
El Mercadito (grocery store) in O’Neill, Nebraska;
A private ranch in O’Neill, Nebraska;
Christensen Farms with numerous locations in Appleton, Minnesota; Sleepy Eye, Minnesota; and Atkinson, Nebraska;
La Herradura Restaurant in Stromsburg, Nebraska;
GJW LLC with three locations in Ainsworth, Nebraska;
J.E. Meurets Grain Company in Ainsworth, Nebraska;
Herd Co Cattle Company in Bartlett, Nebraska; and
Long Pine (farm) in Royal, Nebraska


July 25, 2018 – ICE arrests 65 in New York City and Long Island

ICE arrested 65 individuals during a five-day period, ending July 20, 2018, in New York City and on Long Island.


July 24, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 132 Foreign Nationals in DC, VA

ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Washington Field Office conducted a large scale enforcement action that resulted in the arrest of 132 individuals in Virginia and Washington, D.C. ICE's Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Marshals Service and the U.S. Attorney's Office all provided assistance with the operation.


July 16, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 37 Foreign Nationals in Middlesex County, New Jersey

ICE arrests 37 individuals in Middlesex County, New Jersey, during a five-day operation that concluded July 13, 2018. Those arrested included nationals of Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, and Turkey.


June 25, 2018 – ICE Apprehends 40 Foreign Nationals in New York

ICE arrests 40 in New York operation during a four-day enforcement operation that ended June 21, 2018. The arrestees (35 men and 5 women) included nationals from 13 countries: Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Jamaica, Malawi, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Somalia and Latvia.


June 19, 2018 – ICE Apprehends 146 Foreign Nationals in Ohio

ICE arrested 146 individuals during the execution of criminal search warrant at a facility operated by meat supplier Fresh Mark in Salem, Ohio. Federal document search warrants were also executed at three other Fresh Mark locations in northern Ohio. According to ICE’s statement, the enforcement actions are part of an ongoing HSI investigation into whether Fresh Mark knowingly hired individuals not authorized to work in the United States.


June 14, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 162 Foreign Nationals in Los Angeles Area

ICE arrests 162 in Los Angeles-area operation. According to ICE's statement, those arrested during the three-day operation included nationals from 12 countries: Colombia (1), El Salvador (10), Guatemala (10), Honduras (3), Iran (1), Mexico (129), Nigeria (1), Peru (1), Philippines (2), Romania (1), United Kingdom (1), and Venezuela (1).


June 11, 2018 – ICE Apprehends 91 Foreign Nationals in New Jersey

ICE arrests 91 in New Jersey operation. The operation was supported by ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) New Jersey Field Office.


June 5, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 114 Foreign Nationals in Ohio

The Washington Post reported that ICE arrested 114 individuals during two workplace raids at two different locations of Corso's Flower and Garden Center in Ohio-one in Sandusky and one in Castalia.


May 25, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 156 Foreign Nationals in Illinois

ICE announced the arrest of 156 individuals during a six-day enforcement operation in Chicago, Illinois. Operation was conducted between May 19, 2018, and May 24, 2018. According to the ICE statement, 14 of the detainees had final orders of removal, 36 had illegally re-entered to the U.S. after having been previously deported, and the remaining 106 arrests were of foreigners that were present illegally in the United States.


May 22, 2018 – ICE Apprehends 49 Foreign Nationals in Philadelphia

ICE announced the arrest of 49 individuals during a seven-day enforcement action in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. ICE stated that this enforcement operation was conducted in accordance with routine, daily targeted operations conducted by ICE field operations teams every day. Fourteen of those arrested were previously released from Philadelphia County custody, despite having an ICE detainer lodged against them.


May 15, 2018 – ICE Apprehends 78 Foreign Nationals in Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota

ICE announced the arrest of 78 individuals during a six-day enforcement action in the following five Midwest states: Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota. ICE notes that the arrest statistics provided in the press release represent preliminary data that has been manually reported to ICE headquarters and official numbers may vary slightly.


April 25, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 13 Foreign Nationals in Kentucky

14 News reported that ICE arrested 13 individuals at 4 different Mexican restaurants in Owensboro, Kentucky.


April 24, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 15 Foreign Nationals in Indiana

13 WTHR news reported that ICE apprehended 15 individuals in Plainfield, Indiana.


April 20, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 60 Foreign Nationals in New Jersey

ICE announced the arrest of 60 individuals during a five-day enforcement operation in New Jersey that ended April 20, 2018.


April 17, 2018 - ICE Apprehends About 40 Foreign Nationals in North Carolina

The Associated Press reported that ICE arrested approximately 40 individuals in western North Carolina and the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area.


April 17, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 225 Foreign Nationals in New York

ICE announced the arrest of 225 individuals during a six-day enforcement operation in New York City, Long Island, and Hudson Valley that ended Saturday, April 14, 2018. Those arrested include foreign nationals from over 50 different countries.


April 5, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 97 Foreign Nationals in Tennessee

The Washington Post reported that federal officials arrested 97 immigrants at Southeastern Provision, a meat-processing plant, in Bean Station, Tennessee on Thursday, April 5th. This is the largest single workplace raid in a decade. 10 people were arrested on federal immigration charges, 1 person was arrested on state charges, and 86 immigrants were detained for being in the country illegally, Tammy Spicer, a spokeswoman for ICE, said in a statement Friday, April 6th.

March 27, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 271 Foreign Nationals in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands

ICE announced the arrest of 271 individuals during a five-day enforcement operation in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands that ended Thursday, March 22, 2018. Those arrested include foreign nationals from 36 different countries.


March 27, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 89 Foreign Nationals in Texas and Oklahoma

ICE announced the arrest of 89 individuals during a three-day enforcement operation in Texas and Oklahoma that ended Thursday, March 22, 2018. Those arrested include foreign nationals of the following countries: Mexico(59), Guatemala(12), Honduras (8), Colombia(3), Nigeria (2), El Salvador (1), Laos (1), Nicaragua (1), Pakistan (1), and Vietnam (1).


March 23, 2018 – ICE Apprehends 16 Foreign Nationals in Michigan

ICE announced the arrest of 16 individuals during a four-day enforcement operation in western Michigan that ended Thursday, March 22, 2018.


March 16, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 115 Foreign Nationals in San Diego

ICE announced the arrest of 20 individuals during a four-day enforcement operation in the Kansas City area that ended on Thursday, February 29, 2018. Those arrested include foreign nationals of the following countries: Brazil (1), El Salvador (3), Guatemala (6), Honduras (1), Mexico (7), Romania (1), and Sierra Leone (1).


March 2, 2018 - ICE Apprehends Nine Foreign Nationals in Northern Indiana

ICE announced the arrest of nine individuals during a two-day enforcement operation that ended Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Those arrested include foreign nationals of the following countries: El Salvador (2), Honduras (1), Israel (1), Ghana (1), and Mexico (4).


March 1, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 232 Foreign Nationals in Northern California

ICE announced the arrest of 232 individuals during targeted immigration enforcement operations in the San Francisco area. They released a statement explaining ICE's enforcement activities within sanctuary cities such as San Francisco and Oakland.

ICE announced the arrest of 145 individuals during a seven-day enforcement operation that ended Friday, February 16, 2018. Those arrested include individuals ranging from 18 to 62 years of age who are foreign nationals of the following countries: Mexico (128), Guatemala (7), El Salvador (1), Honduras (7), Peru (1) and Jordan (1).


February 16, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 212 Foreign Nationals in Los Angeles, California
ICE announced the arrest of 212 individuals during a five-day enforcement operation that ended Thursday, February 15, 2018. ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) also served 122 notices of inspection to businesses in the area.


January 26, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 86 Foreign Nationals in North Texas and Oklahoma
ICE announced the arrest of 86 individuals in the North Texas and Oklahoma areas during a three-day operation. Those arrested include individuals ranging from 19 to 61 years of age who are foreign nationals of the following countries: Mexico (55), Guatemala (10), El Salvador (6), Honduras (4) Bangladesh (3), Cameroon (1) Jordan (1), Laos (1), Liberia (1), Nigeria (1), Panama (1), Philippines (1) and Zimbabwe (1). The operation was conducted between January 23 and January 26, 2018.


January 23, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 43 Foreign Nationals in Western New York
ICE announced the arrest of 46 individuals during an operation in western New York that concluded on January 12, 2018. Those arrested include nationals of Guatemala, Cuba, Mexico, Thailand, Somalia, Jamaica, United Kingdom, Ecuador, Israel, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, Honduras, Belize, Guyana, Sierra Leone, and India.


January 10, 2018 - ICE Apprehends 22 Foreign Nationals in Chicago
ICE announced the arrest of 22 individuals in an operation in the Chicago area during a three-day enforcement operation.

December 13, 2017 - ICE Apprehends Four Foreign Nationals in New York
ICE announced the arrest of four foreign nationals in New York City during a two-day enforcement operation between December 11 and December 12, 2017.


December 12, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 101 Foreign Nationals in New Jersey
ICE announced the arrest of 101 individuals in an operation in New Jersey during a five-day enforcement operation. Those arrested include individuals ranging from 20 to 71 years of age who are nationals of 31 different countries. The operation was led by ICE ERO with support from ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and CBP. Michael McCarthy, acting special agent in charge for HSI Newark, said "HSI is committed to leveraging its broad jurisdiction to further public safety in New Jersey."


December 8, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 27 Foreign Nationals in Western Michigan
ICE announced the arrest of 27 nationals of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in an operation in western Michigan. According to ICE, five of those arrested could face federal prosecution for re-entry after deportation.


December 8, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 22 Foreign Nationals in Kentucky
ICE announced the arrest of 22 individuals in an operation in northern Kentucky during a two-day enforcement operation. Those arrested include 20 men and two women from Guatemala, Mexico, and Zimbabwe.

November 27, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 55 Foreign Nationals in New York
ICE announced that 55 foreign nationals were arrested during a six-day operation in New York that was conducted between November 13 and November 20, 2017. Although Kings and Queens counties accounted for the largest number of arrests during the operation, ERO deportation officers conducted enforcement actions in all boroughs of New York City, Putnam, and Westchester counties.


November 16, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 198 Foreign Nationals Nationwide
ICE announced that "Operation Raging Bull" resulted in the arrest of 16 U.S. citizens and 198 foreign nationals. According to ICE, "Operation Raging Bull" is an initiative that targets gang members; however, 121 of the foreign nationals were arrested on administrative immigration violations.

According to ICE, individuals are confirmed as gang members "if they admit membership in a gang; have been convicted of violating Title 18 USC §521 or any other federal or state law criminalizing or imposing civil consequences for gang related activity; or if they meet certain other criteria such as having tattoos identifying a specific gang or being identified as a gang member by a reliable source."


November 9, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 25 Foreign Nationals in Long Island, New York
ICE announced the arrest of 25 individuals in Long Island as part of a six-day enforcement effort, dubbed Operation Secure Streets, that ended on November 9, 2017. According to ICE, the operation targeted individuals convicted of driving under the influence (DUI), and 24 of those arrested had prior DUI-related convictions; one additional individual was arrested for immigration violations but did not have a DUI-related conviction.


November 6, 2017 - ICE Apprehends Five Foreign Nationals in New York
ICE announced the arrest of five individuals in New York City. The enforcement operation was conducted between October 26 and November 1, 20187.


October 25, 2017 - ICE Apprehends Three Foreign Nationals in New Jersey and New York
ICE announced the arrest of three individuals in Newark, New Jersey and New York City.


October 20, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 36 Foreign Nationals in New Jersey
ICE announced the arrest of 36 individuals in Middlesex County, New Jersey during a five-day operation that concluded on October 20, 2017.

ICE announced the arrest of five individuals in New York City.


September 29, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 45 Foreign Nationals in New York
ICE announced the arrest of 45 individuals in New York during Operation "Safe City." This operation was conducted between September 24 and September 27, 2017. According to ICE, operation 'Safe City' focused on areas where ICE deportation officers are denied access to jails and prisons to interview suspected immigration violators or jurisdictions where ICE detainers are not honored.


September 28, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 498 Foreign Nationals Nationwide
ICE announced the arrest of 498 individuals from 42 countries for federal immigration violations in multiple cities across the United States during a four-day operation, named Operation "Safe City." This operation was conducted between September 24 and 27, 2017. According to ICE, operation "Safe City" focused on cities and regions where ICE deportation officers are denied access to jails and prisons to interview suspected immigration violators or jurisdictions where ICE detainers are not honored.


August 8, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 32 Foreign Nationals in Long Island, New York
ICE announced the arrest of 32 convicted sexual predators during a 10-day period, in Long Island, New York in an enforcement effort dubbed "Operation SOAR" (Sex Offender Alien Removal). This operation was conducted between July 25 and August 3, 2017.


August 3, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 33 Foreign Nationals in Western Michigan
ICE announced the arrest of 33 individuals after a four-day enforcement operation in western Michigan. The arrestees (28 men and five women) included nationals from four countries, Mexico (22), Guatemala (7), El Salvador (3), and Liberia.


August 1, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 650 Foreign Nationals Nationwide
ICE announced the arrest of 650 individuals during a four-day operation titled Operation Border Guardian/Border Resolve, which targeted individuals who entered the country as unaccompanied children and family units. According to ICE, of the 650 arrested, 73 were members of family units and 120 entered the country as unaccompanied children. ICE announced that an additional 457 individuals encountered during this operation were also arrested. The operation was conducted between July 23 and July 26, 2017.


July 25, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 114 Foreign Nationals in New York
ICE announced the arrest of 114 individuals after an 11-day enforcement operation in New York ending July 22, 2017. Of those arrested, 104 were men; 10 were women, including nationals from 35 countries - Afghanistan (1); Algeria(1); Bangladesh (2); Barbados (1); China (3); Colombia (3); Costa Rica (1); Dominican Republic (15); Ecuador (16); Egypt (1); El Salvador (6); Gambia (1); Georgia (1); Grenada (1); Guatemala (5); Guinea (1); Haiti (5); Honduras (4); India (1); Indonesia (1); Israel (1); Ivory Coast (1); Jamaica (8); Jordan (1); Mexico (21); Montenegro (1); Niger (1); Pakistan (1); Poland (1); Romania (1); Spain (1); South Korea (1); Trinidad (3); Turkey (1); United Kingdom (1).


July 21, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 123 Foreign Nationals in Central and South Texas
ICE announced the arrest of 123 individuals after an eight-day enforcement operation in Central and South Texas. During the July 10-19 operation, ERO officers made arrests in the following Central and South Texas cities: Austin (13), Waco (3), Harlingen (44), Laredo (27) and San Antonio (36). Of those arrested, 115 were men; eight were women.


June 9, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 113 Foreign Nationals in Newark, New Jersey
ICE announced the arrest of 113 individuals after a five-day enforcement operation ending June 9, 2017, in the Newark, New Jersey area.


June 9, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 54 Nationals in Central California
ICE announced the arrest of 54 individuals after a five-day enforcement operation in central California. According to ICE, 45 of the 54 individuals arrested had prior convictions.


June 6, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 70 Foreign Nationals in Dallas and Oklahoma
ICE announced the arrest of 70 individuals after a three-day enforcement operation in Dallas and Oklahoma. Of all those arrested, six were females and 64 were males ranging in age between 18 and 50 years old. Those arrested are from the following countries: Cuba (1), Guatemala (1), El Salvador (3), Korea (1), Mexico (62), Zimbabwe (1) and Sri Lanka (1).


May 25, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 22 Foreign Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma
ICE announced the arrest of 22 individuals during a six-week operation ending May 16, 2017, in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.


May 25, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 188 Foreign Nationals in Los Angeles, California
ICE announced the arrest of nearly 200 individuals after a five-day expanded enforcement operation in the Los Angeles area. The operation was conducted between May 20 and May 24, 2018.


May 11, 2017 - ICE Announces Six-Week Nationwide Gang Operation by ICE HSI
ICE announced a six-week nationwide gang operation led by Homeland Security Investigations. Of the 1,378 individuals arrested, 445 were foreign nationals. 280 of the 445 foreign nationals were arrested on administrative immigration violations.

According to ICE, individuals are confirmed as gang members "if they admit membership in a gang; have been convicted of violating Title 18 USC §521 or any other federal or state law criminalizing or imposing civil consequences for gang related activity; or if they meet certain other criteria such as having tattoos identifying a specific gang or being identified as a gang member by a reliable source."

Three individuals arrested in this operation previously had deferred action under DACA. The notice notes that since the start of DACA in 2012, DHS has terminated deferred action for approximately 1,500 recipients due to criminality or "gang affiliation" concerns. Ten individuals arrested during this operation crossed the border as unaccompanied minors.


April 26, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 76 Foreign Nationals in Florida and Puerto Rico
ICE announced that 76 foreign nationals were arrested throughout Florida and Puerto Rico during an enforcement action that was conducted between April 18 and April 21, 2017.


April 24, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 95 Foreign Nationals in Southeast Texas
ICE announced that 95 foreign nationals were arrested throughout southeast Texas during a five-day enforcement action. The operation was conducted between April 17 and April 21, 2017.


April 6, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 26 Foreign Nationals in Colorado and Wyoming
ICE announced the arrest of 26 foreign nationals throughout Colorado and Wyoming during an enforcement action that ran between March 31 and April 3, 2017. All those arrested were men ranging in age between 18 and 56 years old.


April 5, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 82 Foreign Nationals in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
ICE announced the arrest of 82 individuals from 26 different countries during a five-day operation focused in Virginia and the District of Columbia that ran from March 26 to March 30, 2017.

ICE announced the arrest of 31 foreign nationals during a three-day operation in New York.

ICE announced the arrest of 75 foreign nationals during a three-day operation in North Texas and Oklahoma that ran between April 1 and April 3, 2017. Of those arrested, 73 were men; two were women; they ranged in age between 18 and 61 years old.


April 3, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 153 Foreign Nationals in South Texas
ICE announced the arrest of 153 foreign nationals throughout South Texas during a 12-day enforcement action, conducted between March 20 and March 31, 2017. The ICE operation took place in Austin, San Antonio, Rio Grande Valley, and Laredo areas.


March 30, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 84 Foreign Nationals in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington
ICE announced the arrest of 84 foreign nationals in the Pacific Northwest, in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington during a three-day operation. The operation was conducted between March 25 and March 27, 2017.


March 27, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 26 Foreign Nationals in Texas
ICE announced that 26 foreign nationals from Mexico and Honduras were arrested by Dallas ICE officers during a three-day operation. ICE officers identified these men at the Tarrant County (Texas) Jail as part of an operation conducted between March 24 and March 26, 2017.


March 14, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 248 Foreign Nationals in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Delaware
ICE announced that 248 foreign nationals were arrested over a two-week period in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Delaware.


March 14, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 61 Foreign Nationals in Nevada
ICE announced that 61 foreign nationals were arrested during a five-day operation in Nevada. The operation was conducted between March 6 and March 10, 2017.


February 22, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 55 Foreign Nationals in Mississippi
The Clarion Ledger reported the arrest of 55 foreign nationals in Jackson, Flowood, Pearl, and Meridian. ICE agents conducted these workplace raids at eight Asian restaurants, including a local chain called Ichiban, as well as sister brands China Buffet and Sake Sushi.


February 15, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 27 Foreign Nationals in Las Cruces, NM
CBS4 local news reports that ICE apprehended 27 individuals during the week of February 12th.


February 13, 2017 - ICE Apprehends Approximately 680 Foreign Nationals Nationwide
ICE announced the arrest of approximately 680 foreign nationals during a five-day operation that ran between February 6 and February 10, 2017. ICE reinstituted "Operation Cross Check," focusing on fugitives, individuals who reentered after they were deported, and at large "criminal aliens" (including foreign nationals with any criminal conviction). January 27, 2017 - ICE Apprehends 16 Foreign Nationals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
ICE announced the arrest of 16 foreign nationals during a two-day operation in Wisconsin. Arrests were made in the following Wisconsin communities: Milwaukee (8), Waukesha (4), Greenfield (1), New Berlin (1), Oconomowoc (1), and Pewaukee (1). The operation was conducted between January 25 and January 27, 2017.
