2/1/24 AILA Doc. No. 24022200. Removal & Relief
ICE announced the national launch of a new online platform, called ERO eFile, that will allow for the electronic filing of Form G-28. ICE provides a quick reference guide to eFile.

Message from ICE:

Dear legal service stakeholders,

ICE ERO - Custody Management Division (CMD), Custody Programs Division is pleased to announce the national launch of a new online platform, called ERO eFile, that will allow for the electronic filing of the form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative, and eventually provide an online legal visitation scheduling management system at select ICE detention facilities.

From December 21st through February 27th, ICE conducted beta testing of ERO eFile at select detention facilities. The national launch will occur on February 28th. This platform will provide legal representatives with a quick and simple method for filing G-28s across all 25 ERO Field Offices. At this time, G-28s will only be accepted on behalf of detained noncitizens. Legal representatives will be able to monitor a list of all G-28s submitted through their account profiles and be able to withdraw G-28s and eventually schedule legal visits at select facilities.

We are inviting national legal access stakeholders and other legal service providers to join the engagement and participate in a stakeholder event introducing the electronic submission of G-28s through the new ERO eFile platform and provide information on future enhancements to ERO eFile. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
