On 2/19/25, ICE Acting Director Caleb Vitello issued a policy directive (ICE Directive 19010.3) to establish policy for the use of Body Worn Cameras (BWCs) by ICE Law Enforcement Officers and Agents (LEOs). The guidance states that it is ICE policy to utilize BWCs according to the processes, procedures, requirements, and limitations set forth in this Directive and DHS policy, including activation as soon as practicable at the beginning of an enforcement activity and deactivation when the activity is concluded.
