ICE Notice for Employment Authorization for Lebanese F-1 Students
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is providing temporary relief to F-1 nonimmigrant students from Lebanon who are facing severe economic hardship due to the ongoing crisis in Lebanon. Starting from 11/27/24 to 05/27/26, these students may request employment authorization, work increased hours during the school term, and reduce their course load, all while maintaining their lawful F-1 status. This action aims to alleviate the financial burden on affected students and provide them with the flexibility needed to continue their education in the U.S. (89 FR 93634, 11/27/24)
