IRS Urges Travelers Requiring Passports to Pay Back Taxes or Enter into Payment Agreements

The IRS strongly encouraged taxpayers who are seriously behind on their taxes to pay what they owe or to enter into a payment agreement with the IRS to avoid putting their passports in jeopardy. In January 2018, the IRS began to implement procedures pursuant to the FAST Act.
