AILA Recognizes Kathleen M. Gillespie with the 2020 Sam Williamson Mentor Award

WASHINGTON, DC - The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) recognizes Kathleen M. Gillespie of Lexington, MA, with the 2020 Sam Williamson Mentor Award, in acknowledgment of her outstanding efforts and excellent counsel to immigration attorneys by providing mentoring assistance.
Kathleen M. Gillespie has been practicing immigration law since 2004. Earlier in her career, she worked as an associate at a Boston firm specializing in removal defense and post-conviction relief, and later acted as the interim supervising attorney at the Post-Deportation Human Rights Project at Boston College.
Since 2007, Ms. Gillespie has been an immigration law consultant providing legal research and writing services to immigration and criminal practitioners. She also serves as a mentor attorney for the Immigration Impact Unit of the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services.
In 2019, Ms. Gillespie was a recipient of the AILA Jack Wasserman Memorial Award for Excellence in Litigation in the Field of Immigration Law.
