Extension and Redesignation of Yemen for TPS

USCIS notice of the extension and redesignation of Yemen for Temporary Protected Status for 18 months from 3/4/17 through 9/3/18. The extension allows TPS beneficiaries to retain TPS through 9/3/18 if they continue to meet the eligibility requirements. The 60-day re-registration period runs from 1/4/17 through 3/6/17. The redesignation allows additional individuals who have been continuously residing in the U.S. since 1/4/17 and who have been continuously physically present in the U.S. since 3/4/17 to obtain TPS, if otherwise eligible. These individuals may submit an initial application during the 180-day initial registration period between 1/4/17 and 7/3/17. (82 FR 859, 1/4/17)
