USCIS Policy Alert on Diversity Immigrant-Based Adjustment of Status

USCIS issued a policy alert addressing adjustment of status based on the Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV).

This policy is effective June 28, 2024, and comments will be accepted until July 29, 2024.

This policy update is part of an initiative to move existing policy guidance from the Adjudicator’s Field Manual (AFM) and policy memoranda into the Policy Manual. This update is not intended to change existing policy or create new policy. Rather, it incorporates existing guidance into the Policy Manual, streamlining USCIS’ immigration policy while removing obsolete information.
