USCIS Provides I-9 Instructions for TPS Syria Beneficiaries

Employer Compliance, Temporary Protected Status & Deferred Enforced Departure
USCIS announced that it has automatically extended the validity of EADs issued under the TPS designation for Syria through 9/27/21. USCIS provided Form I-9 instructions for Syrian TPS beneficiaries who present an EAD with a Category Code of A12 or C19 and a “Card Expires date” of 3/31/21.
DHS also provided information on creating an E-Verify case for new employees who are Syrian TPS beneficiaries.
