USCIS Provides Litigation Summary and Update on Current Status of the Public Charge Final Rule

USCIS provided an update on the current status of the public charge rule, noting that it stopped applying the rule to all pending applications and petitions on March 9, 2021. USCIS also posted updated versions of affected forms. The current edition date for the following forms is 3/10/21. Starting April 19, USCIS will accept only the 3/10/21 editions of the following forms:
- I-864, I-864A, I-864EZ, I-864W
- I-539, I-539A
- I-129CW, I-129CWR
- I-129
- I-485, I-485A, I-485J
- I-912

USCIS provided a litigation summary and an update on the current status of the public charge grounds final rule, noting that, as of 3/9/21, applicants and petitioners should not provide information related solely to the rule. USCIS also provided information for applicants and petitioners for adjustment of status and for extension of nonimmigrant stay and change of nonimmigrant status.
