USCIS Extends Temporary Office Closure Until at Least June 3

USCIS announced that it is preparing to resume public services on or after June 4, 2020.
April 24, 2020
USCIS announced that it is readying offices to re-open in compliance with local and state orders on or after June 4. Employees in field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers (ASC) continue to perform mission-critical services that do not require face-to-face contact with the public. During this time, individuals may still submit applications and petitions to USCIS. While offices are temporarily closed, USCIS will continue to provide limited emergency in-person services. Please call the USCIS Contact Center for assistance with emergency services.

April 1, 2020
USCIS announced that it is extending the temporary suspension of in-person services at its field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers until at least May 3, 2020. USCIS will begin reopening its offices on May 4, 2020, unless the public closures are extended further.
March 25, 2020
USCIS announced that in an effort to protect employees and communities, USCIS field offices, asylum offices, and Application Support Centers, will now remain closed until April 7, 2020, not April 1, 2020, as previously announced. This date is subject to further extension.
March 17, 2020
USCIS announced that it is suspending in-person services at its field offices, asylum offices, and Application Support Centers (ASCs) in response to COVID-19. The suspension is effective March 18 until at least April 1. Those needing assistance with emergency services should call the USCIS Contact Center.
USCIS field offices will send notices to applicants and petitioners with scheduled appointments and naturalization ceremonies impacted by this closure. USCIS asylum offices will send interview cancellation notices and automatically reschedule asylum interviews.
