DOS posted the Visa Bulletin for May 2017. Bulletin includes notes regarding visa availability in employment-based preference categories, the scheduled expiration of two visa categories, and the expectation that the Special Immigrant Visas allocated for Afghan nationals will be exhausted by 6/1/17.
Note: As of April 20, 2017, USCIS has determined that for May 2017, the Final Action Dates chart in the DOS Visa Bulletin must be used for both family-sponsored filings and employment-based preference filings.
