Visa Bulletin for May 2021

DOS posted the May 2021 visa bulletin. In addition to final action dates and dates for filing for family and employment-based petitions, it contains notes on the DV category and DV category rank cut-offs which will apply in June, information about monthly "Chats with Charlie," and more.

The next "Chats with Charlie" on the DOS YouTube Channel will take place on April 22, 2021, at 1:00 pm (ET) to discuss the May Visa Bulletin. Questions can be emailed to VisaBulletin@state.gov ahead of the event with “Chat with Charlie Question” in the subject line.

On April 20, 2021, USCIS determined that for May 2021, F2A applicants may file using the Final Action Dates chart. Applicants in all other family-sponsored preference categories must use the Dates for Filing chart. Applicants in all employment-based preference categories must use the Final Action Dates chart.
