Presidential Memo Extending and Expanding Eligibility for DED for Certain Hong Kong Residents
On 1/26/23, President Biden issued a memo extending Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) for an additional period of 24 months for certain residents of Hong Kong presently residing in the United States under the previous grant of DED, as well as granting DED for 24 months to certain other Hong Kong residents who arrived in the United States subsequent to the initial grant of DED.
