This intermediate/advanced panel will address the issues associated with the increase of PERM audits, audit trends, SVP calculations, business necessity standard, and successful arguments raised in support of business necessity arguments. The expert panelists also will discuss the regulations and strategic considerations of value to employers to ensure successful certification of the foreign labor certification.

Roger McCrummen (DL), Kansas City, MO
Roger McCrummen has been practicing immigration law for 26 years and is the founding member of an 8-attorney immigration specialty firm in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. McCrummen focusses his practice on business immigration issues, with a major emphasis on PERMs and non-immigrant work visas. Mr. McCrummen is a three-time former Chair of the Missouri-Kansas Chapter of AILA and has gained recognition as a “Super Lawyer” in immigration practice. He is a frequent speaker on immigration topics and active in advocacy on behalf of immigrant rights.
Breanna Danielle Marr, Brookline, MA
Breanna Danielle Marr is a Senior Associate with Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP (“BAL”). She provides strategic counsel to employers on a wide array of business immigration processes, including compliance and corporate restructuring issues, as well as on a broad spectrum of immigrant and nonimmigrant matters. Prior to joining BAL, she served as in-house immigration counsel for a multinational telecommunications company. She received her J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2014. Originally from Canada, Breanna has gone through the immigration process herself.
Emily Wilson Sumner, Richmond, VA
Emily Wilson Sumner is the founding attorney of Sumner Immigration Law. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the AILA DC chapter conference committee, and also serves as a moderator for the AILA H-1B and PERM Message Center Forums. Ms. Sumner received her J.D. from University of Richmond (2005). When not being a parent, spouse, and dog-mom, she enjoys lawyering.
Eligible participants can receive up to 1.8 CLE credit hours. AILA will administer CLE credit only to individuals who register and log into the web seminar. AILA cannot verify your attendance and participation in this program unless you register directly for the web seminar and use your name to log in to participate in the program. Therefore, persons who log in or listen in on the web seminar as part of a group will not be able to obtain CLE credit.
