CBP Issues Pregnancy and Childbirth Guidance for Individuals in CBP Custody
CBP issued guidance on the treatment of people who are pregnant or give birth in CBP custody. CBP should assess whether expelling the individual and newborn child may lead to negative health outcomes. A decision to expel an individual requires a supervisor’s approval.
