E-Verify Provides Updated Guidance on TPS Recipients from Haiti

E-Verify provided updated guidance on creating an E-Verify case for employees with TPS from Haiti in light of DHS Secretary Noem’s reduction of the period of extension and redesignation of Haiti TPS from 18 months to 12 months, noting that employers must reverify these employees on Form I-9 before they start work on 8/4/25, and that USCIS will not provide updated EADs with the amended 8/3/25 expiration date. Employers must correct previously completed Forms I-9 for each employee that previously presented an EAD with a Card Expires date of 2/3/26 to include the amended expiration date of 8/3/25.
