AILA Joins Joint Comment Opposing Changes to Form I-290B
2/4/20
AILA Doc. No. 20020700.
Business Immigration, Family Immigration, Humanitarian Parole, Special Immigrant Juveniles, T & U Status, VAWA
On 2/4/20, AILA joined CLINIC, ASISTA, KIND, the Council, ILRC and the Tahirih Justice Center in a joint comment opposing USCIS’s proposed revisions to Form I-290B and its instructions. The proposed changes would make substantial and substantive changes to the USCIS motions and appeals processes. The organizations urged USCIS to withdraw the proposed revisions and noted that the notice regarding this form change is “procedurally defective because all of its changes must undergo full notice and comment under the APA before they take effect.”
